Carmichael is one quick run east on Fair Oaks Boulevard from our shop on Fulton Ave. We make pickups every weekday up and down 95608 — from the Mesa Verde side near the high school to the older blocks around Carmichael Park and Milagro Centre, and the leafy streets that border Ancil Hoffman Park. Most Carmichael customers fall on the late-morning or early-afternoon part of the route.

Bag pickups in Carmichael work the way they do everywhere else. Schedule a one-hour window, leave the bag on the porch or a side gate, send a photo if your spot is tricky to find. The driver leaves the same way you set up pickup — we'd rather not ring the bell if there's a sleeping kid or a working-from-home meeting in progress.

Carmichael is a great fit for the weekly recurring plan we're building toward. The neighborhood has a lot of busy families and two-career households, and the standing slot — same day every week, same driver knows your spot — saves the "where did I leave the laundry bag" mental load. We're collecting an early-access list while we tune the routing.

Standard pricing is $1.99/lb with a 24–48 hour turnaround, free pickup over $35, and a flat $5 delivery fee otherwise. We add hypoallergenic detergent at no extra charge — it's the same detergent we use for our own kids — and we'll separate by family member or color on request. Comforters, throws, and bedding ride along on the same order; flat-rated by item so a king comforter doesn't get billed by the pound.

Carmichael has more room to it than the neighborhoods closer to downtown — bigger lots, older trees, a few streets out toward Ancil Hoffman that still have horse property and river access. It's a settled place, heavy on established families and empty-nesters, and a lot of our Carmichael customers have done laundry the same way for decades. Handing that off to someone who folds it the way they would is an easy sell once, and then it quietly becomes the routine that frees up a Saturday.

Because Carmichael sits at the far end of the route, we batch pickups here into set windows rather than running back and forth all day. Booking a slot the night before gets you the smoothest turnaround, and the weekly recurring plan we're building solves it entirely: a standing day and time means your bag is always on the van without you thinking about it. Larger Carmichael homes also tend to send more bedding, and because comforters and duvets are flat-rated by item, a big linen week never turns into a surprise on the ticket.
