Free pickup over $35, $1.99/lb, 24–48 hour turnaround. Family-run from the shop at 3100 Fulton Ave since 1985.
Also known as: Tahoe Park area, Colonial Heights, Tallac Village.
Tahoe Park sits in the east-central grid, the streets fanning out from the park itself between Broadway and 14th Avenue. It's a working neighborhood with two big anchors close by — UC Davis Medical Center a few blocks north and Sacramento City College just to the west — so a lot of our Tahoe Park pickups are nurses, med-center staff, and students who don't have a free afternoon for the laundromat. We cover 95820 across the heart of Tahoe Park and 95817 where it meets Oak Park, both on the same daily route as the shop, about ten minutes up Stockton Boulevard.
Because Tahoe Park is close to the store on Fulton, turnaround here is quick — schedule an evening pickup and your folded bag is usually back the next day, often faster for the smaller loads shift workers tend to send. Leave the bag on the porch or a side gate, tell us if there's a night-shift sleeper we shouldn't wake, and the driver works around it. We send a photo at pickup and at drop-off, so an odd-hours schedule never means wondering whether the laundry actually moved.
The rhythm around here — pick up Monday, back Tuesday, every week — is exactly what the weekly recurring plan we're rolling out is built for: a standing slot, the same driver, 10% off the per-pound rate, and first pick of the route on busy days. Med-center households on rotating shifts especially like locking in a window they don't have to think about. Call the shop to get on the early-access list.
Pricing is the same everywhere we drive: $1.99/lb standard wash & fold with a 24–48 hour turnaround, free pickup over $35, flat $5 under. Hypoallergenic free-and-clear detergent is included at no charge, bedding and comforters are flat-rated by item, and you can pay at pickup with card, cash, Venmo, or Apple Pay — no card on file at booking.
Tahoe Park proper is a grid of tidy postwar bungalows around the park and its pool, shading into Colonial Heights and Tallac Village as you head toward Stockton Boulevard. It's an unpretentious, working neighborhood — a lot of first homes, longtime families, and renters near the college — and the laundry reflects that: everyday loads, work clothes, kids' clothes, nothing fussy. What people want here is simple and reliable, which is exactly what forty years on the same corner has made us good at.
Because Stockton Boulevard runs straight from Tahoe Park to the shop, we can turn these pickups around fast and slot in the occasional rush load when a shift schedule goes sideways. There's no app to learn and no card kept on file — you book by phone or online, leave the bag out, and pay the driver at pickup. For students and med-center staff who are rarely home at predictable hours, that flexibility is usually the whole reason they switch.
